Okay, so I haven't been very good at blogging lately...sorry! The most exciting thing to happen around here lately is the snow, and lots of it. Jakob's school closed after an hour and a half on Thursday, and fortunately, they didn't even attempt to go on Friday. We ended up having a lot of fun getting snowed in. Most of the next door neighbors came over and hung out. I think we had a head count of 13 kids, and and 7 adults. Max taught the older kids how to play Risk. (Lord, help us all!) We whipped up some impromtu appetizers, and a couple people already had dinner in the crock-pot, so we all pitched in and had a great time... one of the perks of living in this neighborhood. You don't have to worry about getting home safely. But, enough with the snow already, bring on spring! Max is out blowing the driveway again as I write. It snow all day today too. =(
The girls are looking forward to seeing the Disney's Princesses on Ice this weekend. Jakob is going too, but I'm not sure how excited he is! The next several weekends are filled with baby showers, birthday parties, and pinewood derbies. Jakob is planning his big 8th birthday party- I think it's between Chuckie Cheese and Stars & Strikes - either one of those with eight boys sounds like an evening of fun... care to join us?!? By the way, when did I say he could get so big? Seriously, I can't believe that he is going to be 8 this month. We have been so fortunate with his health this past two years- no problems since he had his ICD put in. Please, God, keep him safe forever.
Happy Spring to you all, I'll try and update sooner with more pics.
