Sorry it has been so long! I've been waiting for something fun to add to our blog.
I guess the biggest news we've got is that we have put our house up for sale. I'm guessing most of you have heard this via the grapevine. It is a bitter-sweet time for us. We have really enjoyed living in this neighborhood for the past five years. We have all made some awesome friends. You know the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child?" Well, this has truly been a village for us. There has always been people around to help out in whatever ways needed. But, moving forward... our plan for now is to move to Little Canada with Max's parents. We plan on spending about a year there, when we will make a decision where we want to go. Yes, we have tossed around the idea of moving back out west, either Oregon or California. We have decided that we should make any big changes now, before the kids get too much older. A new chapter in our lives. We look forward to the doors that it might open for us. So, as you might guess, this has been taking up much of our time... keeping the house clean with 8 daycare kids around is a full-time job in itself. In the past three weeks we have had 4 showings.
In other news, we had Hannah's conferences yesterday. She is doing very well, and is definitely ready to start kindergarten. She knows all her letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. She can even cut perfectly with a scissors and color beautifully! What more could you ask from a five year old?! Her teachers say they will miss her, and she just as sweet as can be. ;)
Jakob has been plugging away at the violin. We just finished 'O Come Little Children' and are working on 'May Song' now. Oh- he turned 8 a few weeks ago! Seriously?! I really can't believe that it has been 8 years since he came into our lives. We celebrated by taking 8 boys to Stars and Strikes, a bowling/arcade/laser-tag, entertainment place. He had a blast, and it wasn't even stressful for us! Thanks to several generous folks, we've been introduced to the world of Tamagotchi's. Let's just say, the world could have gone on just fine without them.
Emmy you ask? She is just fine. Just as goofy as ever. She is the one that always brings a laugh into our home. She is always saying and doing funny things. I have even started a scrapbook page of "Emmy-isms" because she comes up with the most bizarre things! She is the easiest kid to have around. Low maintenance... she can entertain her self for hours with her dollhouse. She is also looking forward to starting preschool next year.
I think that brings you up to date with our family. I hope that you are all enjoying spring (unfortunately, here in MN, it is still January weather, 29 will be the high today. You wonder why California looks so appealing?!). Happy Easter!
